BrandonNoble

Brandon Noble - CEO

Brandon anchored Penn State’s defensive line during the mid-1990s, including the famous undefeated Lions of ’94, and was MVP of the ‘97 Fiesta Bowl. He then spent nine years with the Barcelona Dragons, Dallas Cowboys, and Washington Redskins. After the NFL, he was owner/operator of Custom Concrete Solutions, then spent eight years coaching college football. He then spent time in the financial services industry acquiring his Series 7 and 66 Licenses, before deciding it was time to head back into the sports world as a broadcaster.

Chris Buchignani - president

Chris brings a range of experience in print and broadcast media as well as marketing and audio/video production. He has also worked in the market research industry for over a decade, operating an independent consultancy since 2010. In 2012, Chris became founding president of The Nittany Valley Society, a non-profit focused on curating the stories and traditions of Penn State and State College, which has published six books, established an undergraduate student fellowship program, and endowed an undergraduate course in University history.

Eric Porterfield - Sr. VP, Business Development/Executive Producer

Previously the founder and CEO of Distance Learning Network (sold to Optum Health in 2004 for $20MM), Eric’s 30-year career in media production and management has included recognition as a Semi-Finalist for the prestigious Academy of Arts and Sciences "Nicholl Fellow Award for Screenwriting,” an EMMY nomination for “The Joe We Know,” and the largest payback to the Ben Franklin Technology Center grant program in its history (Distance Learning Network). From 2006-2012, Eric’s work as a media consultancy included clients such as China’s Ministry of Health, Optum Health, The Discovery Channel, and Penn State’s Innovation Park.

Kelly Green Porterfield - Sr. VP, Creative Director/Distribution

With more than 25 years of entrepreneurial and creative production/distribution experience, Kelly’s business acumen and creative direction is critical to the company’s strategic planning for programming and project production. An MFA graduate of Eastern Michigan University, she is a founder of Blue White Media and has spent more than three years working to develop film projects focusing on topics related to Penn State. Kelly also works directly with key clients to ensure their creative platforms and marketing initiatives are strategically aligned across all BWM platforms and programs.


Personalities

Blue White Media’s core personalities blend their diverse range of complementary skill sets with extensive knowledge of – and established credibility within – the target market.


Mike Herr – In 40+ years of service, “Mike the Mailman” became one of Penn State’s most recognizable and beloved figures. His retirement was an alumni magazine cover story reaching over 180,000 subscribers. Mike continues to be in high demand for appearances at high-visibility events like football halftime and the annual dance marathon (THON), which raises millions to combat pediatric cancer. He will serve as an on-air personality and critical brand ambassador to BWM’s target audience.


Paul Alexander – In over three decades in television and radio broadcasting, Paul has cultivated strong relationships within the media markets of Pittsburgh and State College, where he became a beloved TV personality in his many years covering the Nittany Lions. He currently provides coverage of the Pirates and Penguins for AT&T SportsNet. Paul will contribute on the content side as well as fronting investor and client relations.


Kevin Horne, Esq. – Proud holder of three Penn State degrees (two BAs & JD), Kevin served as managing editor of Onward State, the most widely-read student news outlet in the country. Kevin elevated his profile within the Penn State community with his thoughtful, provocative writing in the midst and aftermath of the Sandusky scandal, including his viral “Open Letter to Keith Olbermann.” Kevin will play a vital content development role given his experience with media storytelling for the PSU audience.


Keith Conlin – Keith starred on PSU’s offensive line in the mid-90s. Following football, he transitioned into a diverse entrepreneurial career that included extensive work in broadcast media, helping organize the “Rise and Rally” event to support the embattled Nittany Lions of 2012. In addition to his talents as a personality, Keith will leverage extensive relationships within the sponsor and Penn State Lettermen communities.


Jeff Byers – A State College native better known as “Ironhead” to thousands of radio listeners throughout Happy Valley and across Nittany Nation, Jeff has spent 30 years as the voice of Penn State wrestling, translating the rise of coach Cael Sanderson and Co. as the Lions have collected national titles on the mat (7 in 8 years). His extensive broadcasting work in the State College market also includes his long-time roles as a morning show host on WRSC and post-game radio show host for Penn State football. Jeff will leverage his experience and credibility in these areas across all BWM platforms.


Macy Golder – A 2013 graduate of Penn State’s College of Communications, Macy began her diverse media career while at the University, where she also began building a distinct presence on social media. She has gone on to work in sales/promotions and broadcast journalism at Rutgers University, New York Giants Insider, the Maxwell Football Club, and the All American Bowl. Macy will feature in content for television and the web as well as take the lead in crafting the BWM social media presence.
